Food and Accommodation on Langtang Valley trek

Food and Accommodation are very important during the Langtang Valley trek for trekkers. Food and Accommodation are highly prioritized for every traveler during this trek. The rural region of the country where the Langtang Valley is located has tea houses and lodges, where the locals welcome visitors with open arms.

During the hike, food is crucial. The main source of energy for the trip is food burning. In Nepalese, the expression “Dal Bhat power, 24 hours” refers to the ability to endure for practically a day after consuming dal bhat. The national dish is dal bhat, however, other cuisines can be made, including vegetable and noodle soups.

The menu frequently has items like bread, eggs, pizza, prawns, momo, ramen noodles, sweets like ice cream and porridge, and steaks. No visitor needs to be concerned about their meals because we will make a thorough list of your preferences and give it to the hotel where you will be staying throughout the Langtang Valley Trek.

Avoiding dairy items, hard drinks, and beverages with a lot of caffeine is strongly advised because they could negatively affect your physiology and health at higher altitudes.

Drinking Water

To keep their bodies hydrated and avoid altitude sickness (AMS), trekkers must consume enough water. Mountain sickness that is acute. While hiking to the Langtang Valley, three to four liters of water should be consumed each day.

We strongly encourage you to bring one reusable water container that can hold hot water rather than buying bottled water. On treks, bottled water can be expensive and add to physical problems in the Langtang region. Water can be cleaned with water purification pills. But the taste will alter after taking the pills. After a thorough cleansing, water should constantly be drunk. Boiling water is available in the teahouse for an additional cost.

Travel Insurance

The Langtang Valley trip requires an effective travel insurance plan that offers enough coverage for all of your activities. Anything may occur throughout the entire journey. Although we are more focused on safety, it is impossible to entirely rule out the possibility of accidents and emergencies occurring where we are on occasion.

Trekking-related medical difficulties, physical injuries, helicopter evacuation, hospital expenditures, and other expenses should all be covered by your travel insurance package.

Electricity and Communication

Electricity and an internet connection will always be available in urban areas. However, during hikes, there can be power outages in some rural areas. Even in tea houses or lodges where you choose to stay, there may be additional charges for accessing electricity or internet services due to the congested road and remote location. Please be informed that during the trip, there won’t be any access to electricity or the Internet. The finest places to charge your electronic devices are the tea houses or lodges where you will be staying.

ATM and Currency exchange

Due to the large number of convenient ATMs and money exchange facilities that are present in Kathmandu, one of Nepal’s major urban centers, travelers can quickly acquire Nepalese cash there. These services might not be accessible in remote regions where modern financial facilities may be scarce and only Nepalese currency is accepted.

Before beginning a journey, travelers are strongly advised to make preparations and exchange their foreign currencies for Nepalese currency to avoid any potential hiccups. This will ensure that there is enough local currency available to purchase essentials like food, water, and other crucial items while on the trip. By visiting local currency exchange services in Kathmandu, the process can be accelerated and unnecessary stress removed.
